Agile Project Manager

The RELI Group is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Project Manager supporting an Enterprise Program Management Office (PMO).  The Project Manager’s initial responsibility will be to manage the development and rollout of a project portfolio management system (PPMS) for use by our multi-vendor and client community. The Project Manager will join at the inception of the project, and will be responsible for working with the development team and client to create the full lifecycle project plan.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create Project Charter, documenting scope, team organization, risks, assumptions and constraints and an implementation approach
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Project plan
  • Design and implement Project Management Plan and applicable sub-plans (including Risk Management, Change Management, Scope Management, Schedule Management, Communications Management, Stakeholder Management, and Quality Management) based on existing templates
  • Set up and maintain various logs, including risk, issues, decisions, benefits, and lessons learned
  • Develop and maintain in implementation plan in conjunction with the team and stakeholders
  • Proactively oversee and monitor project activities, identifying risk areas and managing resolutions/mitigation
  • Facilitate activities between the project team, clients, contract teams, and partners, providing continual status reports and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Serve as liaison between project team and end users
  • Lead project meetings with required stakeholders
  • Ensure proper project communications, including development and distribution of status reports and dashboards for executive review
  • Manage client expectations with regard to the program and related activities, exploring methods for improvement, and making recommendations to company management and customers for improving and/or enhancing the program
  • Actively engage in change management with stakeholders to ensure stakeholder needs and expectations are met
  • Manage system rollout, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful transition and system acceptance
  • Plan for, contribute to training materials, and deliver training on the system implementation
  • Plan for and deliver an operational support model for the system

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of project management experience that includes projects that span a significant user base (greater than 300 end users)
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Online or Enterprise Edition preferred
  • Strong analytical experience
  • Demonstrated skill in the management and control of schedule and resources
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project risks and issues
  • Excellent client and team building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Agile development preferred
  • Experience with CMS XLC processes is a plus
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Federal government agency work experience is desired
  • Experience using project management toolsets such as Microsoft Project (Enterprise Edition preferred), as well as Microsoft Office Suite (particularly, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio) proficiency
